Palm Sunday was left with blood shed and tears as two separate bomb blasts ripped through Egyptian Coptic Christian Churches where 47 people were dead and more injured. Bomb blasts in Alexandria and Tanta were claimed by Isis today. Within a few hours of each other 2 blasts tore through the churches leaving bloodshed and tears. Hundreds were injured and at least 47 people died through this massacre! The Coptic pope had visited St Mark's Cathedral in Alexandria but was not harmed as he had left just before the blasts occurred.

Someone on Twitter had Tweeted just after the blasts under a photo of a palm leaf soaked in blood, "This is who we are Martyrs, sons and daughters of Martyrs."

Officials say the blasts happened during Mass. It has been announced Egyptian president Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi will declare a state of emergency for 3 months following the attacks.

This world we live in is being torn apart by war, bloodshed, injustice, hatred and anger. We cannot guarantee security now! It has been prophesied in the bible about such things and we are in the end days.

Matthew 24:7 Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8. All these are the beginning of birth pains. 9. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other 11. and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12. Because of the increase of wickedness the love of most will grow cold 13. but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

This is the state of the world and when these things happen around us we have to throw ourselves onto the mercy and grace of God! We cannot take life for granted. These men and women went to church today to celebrate Palm Sunday. The day what commiserates Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem when the people welcomed Him into Jerusalem with palm leaves.

John 12:12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13. They took palm branches and went out to meet him shouting, "Hosanna! " "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is the king of Israel!"

They went to church today to enjoy and worship their God and King Jesus. But not only did they worship His triumphant entry they are now themselves triumphantly entering into Heaven to meet the one who they came to worship. However sadly leaving behind heart broken. Loved ones, who are suffering from their loss and coming to terms with the grief and shock of this tragedy!

We cannot and must not take our lives for granted. We so easily plan our lives. We book holidays and plan weddings but the bible tells us not to!

James 4:13 Now listen you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." 14. Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."

We are a MIST is what it tells us. We appear a little while, then vanish. Will you throw yourselves onto the mercy of Jesus today? Will you turn to Him, allowing Him to enter triumphantly into your heart and be enthroned there? Will you allow Him to be your guide, controlling your every move and let Him plan your life? Will you allow His will be done? Its time to turn to Him with our hearts that are ready to be used by Him. Its time to make a difference in this world. To stand for what's true and eternal. To throw ourselves onto the one who has overcome the world.

1 John 5:4 For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5. Who overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

What hope, strength, or peace do we have now besides Jesus? If we're truly honest with ourselves we will recognize and know that its only in Jesus we find security, hope, strength, and peace. He's the only way to Heaven! There is no other way. Its simply Jesus Christ who gets us there. There is a purpose for you! God has a blueprint for your life. He knows your life from beginning to end. Your life is mapped out whether you know it or not. He had a plan for you before the foundation of the world! His master plan, ready to be lived out by you.

The Bombs blasted and ripped through all the people

They turn up with ruck-sack, attack the  buildings with a steeple

The poor people were gathered with their palm leaves

And now their poor families and friends hurting and left to grieve

But little did they know they're resting in a better place

As the Father wipes away any tears that fall down their face.

We speak strength, comfort, and peace over the families who have suffered this horrific tragedy. To the ones who have departed on this day we say "Rest In Heaven".
